west end from rainbird trail

i went on a trek along the rainbird trail today for the first time, from the trailhead by the college to the downtown end along the 3rd avenue bypass...it was a BEAUTIFUL hike, steep & loose gravel in a few spots, a little bit of mud, but mostly a challenging but rewarding walk with chewie. there were a few awesome viewpoints to take pictures, where i of course ran into a few tourists, but i'm sure there would be more locals during the evening or on a weekend. it's become my new favorite hike, joining the ranks with carlanna lake, lunch creek, and perseverance (and deer mtn when i forget how hard it is!). the rainbird trail is definitely recommended and a place i'll be returning to often!
