blessed

yesterday was my birthday.

i tend to not make a big deal about my birthday, as it's just another day & people (especially me) are busy busy busy.  my family celebrates, that's enough.  but no matter how small a day i try to make it, i am always overwhelmed by the number of well-wishers and kind comments i receive...

this year, i was wished "happy birthday" all day long at work, sent 46 facebook comments, got several text messages, a few cards & one very sweet call from my grandparents.  plus some pretty freakin' awesome cupcakes from one boss & beautiful jonquils from the other boss.

if i didn't know before, i'm loved. at the very least, my presence on earth is acknowledged! living on a small island, away from close friends, it's heart-warming to know others still think of me on my "special" day.

you are all such a wonderful part of my life, thank you for making my 24th day-of-birth anniversary such a great one!
