blind dates 101 with the staff of room 108

there must be a giant flashing neon sign above my head that says, "meg needs a boyfriend!"

or atleast that's how my bosses act...yesterday at work, my coworkers deemed it fit to discuss my future significant other again, after a very nice reprieve from last year.  last year, i was to be set up with one of the math/science teachers, who now has a girlfriend. besides, wasn't interested.  this year, one of them was hoping there'd be "sparks" with our student teacher (who i think is in his late 30's, but no one knows for sure), but there's definitely nothing there either.  then the idea was brought up of the local newspaper's sports writer, who's already been given some other girl's name.  i don't know the guy at all, but so far haven't been mucho impressed by his work, since he managed to misspell nearly every single name of our 5 swimmers who just came back from a meet.  and he quoted our former head coach instead of our interim head coach.  way. to. go.

even aforementioned interim head coach is in on the whole deal!  one of the potential head coaches that is flying up for an interview in 2 wks is "quite a looker" according to her, but i looked up his team info online & wasn't piqued, so she'll likely have full access if she wants.

i appreciate all their interest & concern, as i know they only mean well & want the best for me, but i don't think they understand that i am completely ok with being on my own until a really great guy comes along.  i'm picky, so yes there's probably going to be a good deal of time that passes before something comes along.

until then, my "eye candies" are sufficient--nice to look at, but no drama to bring home at the end of the day!
