i hate the last week of my class. every time, it's crunch week to get my final project in before the deadline, and noooooo pressure whatsoever. this week was no different, and especially stressful because i am not a fan of the professor and her way of "teaching." the guidelines for the final project weren't very clear-cut so i was very unsure about whether i completed all the requirements or not.
the one perk she has is fast grading. i turned in my project LATE tuesday night, and got an email back this morning say it had been graded. 5/5 - 100%!! woot. no word yet on a final grade for the class, but i'm not super worried now that the hard part is over.
i also got back the results of my PRAXIS I test - scored almost at the top range of possible scores (183-188 out of 190's on reading, writing & math). i really wanted to nail that test after the first 20 minutes of taking it, so i'm pretty happy about the scores. double woot.
lastly, i survived the 2800 yard killer IM workout chad left behind for master's practice last night...500+ yds of butterfly and then breaststroke is not fun. my shoulder muscles are super tight, my glutes were cramping up (did you know they could cramp?!? i didn't!), and i could barely walk up and down the stairs afterwards. after ranting to chad big time about it (requesting a motorized wheelchair for work today and regular full body massages added to the workout schedule), i had a hard time moving today at work.
i'm covering practices while chad's out of town, which is usually not too bad but always a little stressful. the kids were rough today, which means i get to be the bad guy tattling on them and consequently the bearer of a hard workout on monday. that part i can handle just fine, but i'm tired and they don't make it any easier. i know all this work will be worth it in the end, and i just need to keep truckin', but that doesn't make it any easier.
thank goodness it's friday, i'm "housesitting" while my parents are out of town, & i can spend the rest of the weekend (after practice tomorrow morning) in peace & quiet with the dogs & my next class's reading.
