ok, REALLY grrr...

the other day? frustrating & annoying, but over & done with. parent got called out and hasn't responded. win for coach chad.

today? MUCH worse. i had two kids that i work with almost get into a fight; one couldn't cool down enough and had to be kept in a separte room with 1) one of my bosses, 2) the dean/vice principal, 3) the principal, and 4-5) two cops (the school resource officers who are at kayhi on a near-daily basis, just to be a positive presence).  it took well over an hour for that situation to somewhat get handled...

during which time, one of the freshman who was getting a phone call home and supposed to stay in our room for bad behavior? skipped out when nobody was looking and skipped his actual class the next period. needless to say, he's going to have some explaining to do tomorrow...

...and then when my coworkers and i kindly asked all the students in that class to work quietly (aka, no talking unless it was to one of us), one girl decided to be a major b*tch and cause a scene by closing her materials loudly and speaking loudly that she was going to a different room to work on homework. just to be obnoxious. so, she had a nice 20-minute conversation with my other boss out in the hallway. way to be a great role model, as an upperclassman, to the freshman...

...who thought they could avoid working with me on their homework by turning their back to me as i sat next to one.  hey, you want to fail all of your classes, not get credit for the year, and have to re-take these classes next year because although you may be semi-intelligent and completely capable of doing this work on your own, you have no sense of responsibility or common sense? BE MY GUEST.

i survived the day somehow, and texted coach that unless he could GUARANTEE me that no breakdowns, crises, or drama would happen a practice, i wouldn't come in. well, guess who said he was in a bad mood & might snap at any time.  great....i couldn't let my swimmers put up with that, so i grudgingly went to practice. coach was fine, i could finally somewhat breathe thanks to the humidity (damn cold & congestion for 3 days now), all was good...

...except i managed to have 3 swimmers cry. during a 60-minute practice. and the kid that's usually a little shit was a perfect angel the whole hour. go figure.

what the hell happened today?!?  and where's my extra-strong margarita!?!
